Let’s Play: Little Inferno part 1: Bus Stop!
Let’s burn things, shall we? As promised, Friday’s video is up a day early. We start a new let’s play with Little Inferno and set things on fire. What could be better?
Let’s Play: Limbo part 4: Jump for Joy
The Adventure through Limbo keeps going and this time, this game throws one hell of a punch. Sorry that Monday’s video is a little late. I have been really busy this week with work. Because of this, Friday’s Video will be up Tomorrow. For now, enjoy Limbo part 4.
Let’s Try Organ Trail for Humble Bundle 6
The Humble Bundle with Android 6 is out now for PC, Mac, Linux, and Android devices. The Humble Bundle with Android 6 allows you to pay however much you want and comes with Stealth Bastard Deluxe, Fractal, Aquaria, Organ Trail: Director’s Cut, and Pulse (for Android-only devices). If you pay over the Average of what everyone is paying, you also get Frozen Synapse and Broken Sword: Director’s Cut as well. You also get to decide where your money goes, how much goes to the Developers, Charity, and The Humble Bundle website. I have enjoyed all these games each but I think my favor is Organ Trail. A fun strategy game based on the thought of ‘What if Oregon Trail had Zombies?’ Enjoy my “Let’s Try” of Organ Trail and if you like what you see, you can purchase the game yourself and give it a try!
Global Future: Creating Gods Among Us?
I had seriously intended to restart Tech Gestalts today, because I have a backlog of ideas that just grows faster than I can weed them out. Or move over to gaming news and maybe talk about the Origins Games Fair and Shadowrun Fifth Edition (seriously, buy the damn game. It’s awesome and you want it.) But at the last minute, I heard about the transhumanists at Global Future 2045. For those who don’t know, GF2045 is a conference founded by Russian businessman Dmitry Itskov, best known for his involvement with the 2045 Initiative, a program aimed at human immortality by 2045.
Let’s Play: Limbo part 3: The Grand Shock Hotel
That Hotel is BS! Hate that place. Cookie Chris keeps adventuring through Limbo and discovers a Hotel. This Hotel is BS! Hate that place!
Starship Congress 2013
This week is just full of aerospace news bites. And I’m only talking about the interesting bits. I want to talk about two in particular – the impending Starship Congress and the recent docking of a Chinese craft at a Chinese space station with Chinese astronauts inside. I’m only going to be focusing on just one for right now, however. The next article will post later.
Myriad Genetics: Accidental Geneware Revolution?
The Supreme Court of the United States ruled today that genetic material taken from the human body cannot be patented. Some of you are sitting at home or work or on your phone in the car ignoring your mother’s rant about how your newest girlfriend is just as bad for you as all your others, and you’re reading this and thinking that the Court ruling should have been common sense, it wasn’t until today. And while it has some big repercussions, it really doesn’t change a damned thing.
E3 Dragons!
E3 is always an exciting time for gamers. This year, everyone is abuzz with the news (disappointing as some of it is) about the XBone, the WiiU, and the surprise from behind: the PS4. And, while I am definitely excited about the next-gen console prospects prospect, I have to admit that it is the presence of a less traditional exhibit/booth/circle-jerk that has me chomping at the bit wishing I was there: SpaceX’s Dragon exhibit (in the parking lot!). I want ALL the swag.
Let’s Play: Limbo part 2: CookieChris vs. Water!
CookieChris tackles the dark world of Limbo, facing off against a lot of water based puzzles. Who will win? Spoiler, the water wins…
E3 X-Box One: X-Boneheads
It’s been awhile since we covered some purely gaming news, but it’s E3 time, that wonderful time of the year when the big names in electronic gaming see just how much suffering they can inflict on their loyal fanbase without driving it away. Every year, we crawl back hoping it will be better than the last time, like an abused divorcee who just can’t let their crazy partner go. Last year, we got a bunch of disappointing Sequel-Fu, a sad promise of the same monotony we had the previous year. This year, the Big Three in gaming are locked in the latest console war as the new generation of systems’ launch dates approach. Only, for once, there’s a good bit of independent competition as well, in the form the Ouya and the Steambox, among others. Which is why I’m baffled….nay, I’m fucking frustrated as a color-blind quadriplegic playing Twister, by whatever the hell Microsoft thinks they’re doing.
